cycling
Indoor cycling burns serious calories (about 450 in 45 minutes) and offers an awesome aerobic workout that gets the heart rate going. It also tones your quadriceps (front thigh muscles) and outer thigh muscles like nobody's business! Because you stay in one place with the same basic movement throughout, indoor cycling doesn't involve a lot of coordination; it's easier to concentrate on your form than in other types of aerobic classes. And although you follow the general instructions of the teacher, you are in control when it comes to your pace. You can finish a cycling class, regardless of your fitness level, simply by adjusting your pace or the resistance knob on the bike. Our bikes are Schwinn Evolutions and are SPD/LOOK compatible.

iyengar
In the B.K.S. Iyengar tradition, a special focus is placed on alignment, timing and sequencing. Correct alignment develops focus and attention in the student. A longer duration of time spent in each pose builds stamina and endurance. And the sequencing brings about an increased awareness of the physical, mental and emotional changes which occur during the practice. Vitality, balance and coordination are all enhanced. In Iyengar yoga, a variety of props are used as remarkably innovative ways to increase strength and flexibility, as well as to facilitate gradual learning. The physical results are profound, and with them come a renewed sense of confidence, focus and revitalization from the stresses of daily life.

Namaste!
Stephen Weigand
I have been a passionate student of yoga for over nine years. Initially I was attracted to yoga for its athleticism. In addition, I have found myself drawn to its healing and restorative benefits as my body embraced yoga in a deeper way. Personally, I use yoga as a means of challenging and healthy exercise, stress relief, enjoyment, relaxation and centering. In my teaching its my joy to provide these same components to every student I teach. My ass kickin bliss vinyasa flow classes are vigorous and challenging with emphasis on power and athleticism. Whether teaching new students or established ones, I am able to guide people through a class, leaving them feeling stronger, more powerful, open, rejuvenated, balanced and centered each time.
I also like to remind my students (as well as myself) that the body has different needs each day. While working hard is a great thing, I like to encourage finding the balance between working too hard and not enough. Recognizing that some days the hardest & wisest thing to do is allow your body many breakschilds pose!
I look forward to having you come play, sweat, celebrate, and move your body to some rockin music while getting your ass kicked in to bliss!
I am a certified Yoga Alliance instructor, studying with some of the most renowned teachers in the country. I practice yoga 3-4 days a week myself. Jake Ferree
Jake Ferree first ventured into the yoga studio over 4 years ago after 10 years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. His initial goal of growing flexibility quickly transformed into finding the balance between strength and flexibility, and realizing the connection between the body, mind and breath. Jake's yoga practice matured rapidly, and he soon became a popular yoga instructor. Jake's favorite thing about yoga is in the mental and physical challenge of the practice. "There have been so many times in class that I felt like a pose was absolutely impossible to do, like there is no way that I could ever do it in this lifetime. Then one day, out of nowhere, I would be in class doing that impossible thing. In yoga, the impossible becomes possible." Jake's goal as an instructor is to guide students to challenge their practice, to bump up against the impossible, and to experience the joy of making the impossible possible.
